The Supreme Court recognized a constitutional right to same-sex marriage nationwide in Obergefell v. Hodges, decided 5-4 on June 26, 2015 with Justice Anthony Kennedy writing the majority. A decade later, Gallup's May 2025 poll found 68 percent of Americans think same-sex marriages should be legally recognized with the same rights as other marriages, up from 27 percent when Gallup first asked the question in 1996. The sticker says "One justice named it. None voted to end it." and carries the address of the LGBTQ Liberation page on this site, where the claim sits with its evidence, the best case against it, and the answer.
