The story behind this shirt
Texas is the one state that checks and records immigration status for every person its police arrest. Researchers linked those Texas Department of Public Safety records to felony arrests from 2012 to 2018 and found native-born citizens arrested at roughly twice the rate of undocumented immigrants for violent crime, two and a half times the rate for drug crime, and more than four times the rate for property crime; for homicide specifically, undocumented immigrants were arrested at about half the native-born rate. The sticker says "Citizens are arrested more for crime, not less." and carries the address of the Abolish ICE page on this site, where the claim sits with its evidence, the best case against it, and the answer.
