Sources

Every article lists its sources at the bottom, marked primary or secondary. Primary means the document itself: the census return, the trial transcript, the letter. Quotes carry a date and a citation. Nothing on this site asks you to take our word for it.

Cause pages carry the other side's argument as well, in the strongest version we could find, quoted from someone who makes it. A claim that only beats a strawman is no help to you when your uncle turns up with the real one.

The art

Every figure and every cause gets its own artwork, drawn for that subject and used nowhere else. The shirt names who is on it and carries the page address under the design, for anyone who asks you about it in a queue.
